खाशाबा जाधव हे स्वतंत्र भारतातील पहिले ऑलिंपिक पदक विजेते कुस्तीगीर होते. सन १९५२ साली त्यांनी ऑलिंपिकमध्ये फ्रीस्टाइल कुस्तीत कांस्यपदक मिळवले. हे भारतासाठी स्वातंत्र्योत्तर काळातले पहिले वैयक्तिक पदक होते.
जाधव यांनी १९४८ साली लंडन उन्हाळी ऑलिंपिक स्पर्धांमध्ये फ्लायवेट वजनगटातील कुस्तीत सहावा क्रमांक मिळवला होता.

जाधव यांचा जन्म १५ जानेवारी १९२६ रोजी महाराष्ट्र राज्यातील सातारा जिल्ह्यामध्ये कराड तालुक्यातील गोळेश्वर खेड्यात झाला. कुस्ती खेळात त्यांची परिसरात ख्याति होती. देशात ऑलिंपिकमध्ये पदक जिंकणारे ते पहिले खेळाडू होते.
सन १९०० मध्ये नॉर्मन प्रीतचंद यांनी वैयक्तिक खेळात दोन सिल्वर पदंके जिंकली होती. त्यानंतर ऑलिंपिक मध्ये पदक जिंकणारे खाशाबा जाधव हे एकमेव खेळाडू होते.
हा एकमेव ऑलिंपिक पदक विजेता होता की त्याला भारत सरकारने पद्म अवॉर्ड दिला नाही. तो स्वतःच्या हिमतीवर तयार झाला. याची दुरवस्था पाहून रीस गार्डनर या ब्रिटिश कोचने त्याला १९४८ चे ऑलिंपिक पूर्वी मार्गदर्शन केले.

Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav
(15 January 1926 to 14 August 1984)
Khashaba Jadhav was the wrestler of the first ever Olympic medal winner in independent India. In 1952, he won the freestyle wrestling bronze medal in the Olympics. It was the first individual medal for India in the post-independence period.
Jadhav had won 6th rank in the Wrest Weight group wrestling event in the London Summer Olympics in 1948.
Jadhav was born on January 15, 1926 in the village of Goleshwar in Karad taluka in Satara district of Maharashtra state. Wrestling was a renown in his field. He was the first player to win an Olympic medal in the country.
In the 1900s, Norman Preetchand won two silver medals in the individual sport. Khashaba Jadhav, the only medal winner in the Olympics, was the only player.
This was the only Olympic medal winner that did not award him the Padma Award by the Indian government. He got ready for his own interest. Seeing this, he was assisted by the British coach, Rys Gardner, before the 1948 Olympics.
The name of Khashaba Jadhav is immortalized in Indian history due to the first Olympic medal he earned for the country. Their contribution is inspirational for the wrestlers in the country.
